PCS Amateur Womens U19 rider Elissa Antelman nabbed a podium spot at the 5th MAC race of the season, Whirlybird CX yesterday. Antelman and PCS team mate Delfina Picchio rolled through the holeshot among the first few riders and were able to hold a solid position for the first two laps. Elissa pulled away and set a steady pace, lengthening her lead over 4th place Evelyn Korbich (Young Medalist/Team Rothrock) to a solid 30 seconds. Picchio rode steadily and finished 5th.
Our Amateur U19 Men, John Clark and Malik Calaquian rode well considering both were forced to enter the pit with flats and other technical issues. They finished 11th and 12th respectively.
Elite U19 rider Jimmy Maurer, current MAC U19 Leader, rode strong to a 5th place finish in his event.
Belgian Mike De Bie had his North American CX debut and raced to a hard fought 8th in the Elite race, with team mate Patrick Bradley rolling in at 15th.
